In all situations, all we can do is share what we know. It will be his choice to accept what is shared. Prayers that his heart is ready to hear and feel the Lord's touch on his heart.

Cathy would be scared, worried, and add to that alcohol. Her words come from her emotions and the alcohol, as you stated. Hold your boundaries and remember compassion as you allow what she may say to pass right past you.

As far as what the children see or don't see, it can also be a time that you can explain(not excuse) why cathy may be acting as she did.
