Quitting everything at once is overwhelming. I'm trying to develop a more healthy lifestyle. I didn't get where I am overnight; I won't change it overnight either. So, one step at a time.
Wow Teach,
This is exactly what I am trying to do with different issues. I have sat down and made my plan for a more healthy lifestyle, a couple of days ago and I am trying to implement the changes slowly but steadily, so as not to overwhem myself and get discouraged and quit. I'm glad to hear that you are too.
I think that it is just, oh so awesome, that you have been able to stay away from the cigs that long. I'm sure that you remember me posting about losing my brother a couple of years ago to lung cancer from smoking. He was 49yrs. and 2months old to the day, when he died. I stood by his bedside with the rest of my family and held him and whispered to him while he was passing away. I will never forget the minute that he took his last breath. I have alot of smokers around me and even experiencing some of this with me didn't make them stop. I don't preach to them though because I have my own issues. But I am so proud of you and You have every right to be proud of yourself.
