It's likely that the scale will not always move in the right direction, especially right after the holidays.. However, this doesn't mean you have to give up and return to your old ways. Make a list of all the positive things you're doing. Then make a list of ways you could gauge your progress other than your weight. Have your body fat measured. You could be decreasing your body fat even though you are not seeing big changes on the scale. And remember that increased energy and sense of well-being is also progress.
