Angry News on me...

Boy was today a headache.

I was supposed to meet someone for an interview at 1. I decided to wake up at 7:00 am, get dressed and head out towards the area to drive by it so that I would know where it is. The place I was supposed to have this interview at was "Plainfield, IN". Come to find out at around 11 o'clock that it was in my town of Terre Haute! WHAT A FOWL UP! I made it on time despite though, and even though I think I probably won't get the job, she did say that I will be hearing from her. What do you think? Do you think that means anything, or is it just another one of those interviewing statements to let by-gones be by-gones...?

Besides that, I'm in the process of trying to get out of my landlord's lease agreement. I've found a ten times better apartment CLOSER to school for the SAME PRICE I'm paying now, and due to the lease, can't move in until May! SO, I've told the "manager" of my landlord's office that I'm wanting to talk to my landlord. You see, I told that manager that I was wanting to break the lease and that I would even give my landlord the damage deposite if he would let me validly break this lease with no repurcussions, but she said I couldn't due to they're policy. So after sitting on this all day and thinking about what she said, I decided to call back to the office and ask for my landlord when I got back from my interview:

***bring bring bring***

"Hello?" she says...

"Hi, it's me again. I was wondering if I may be able to talk to John sometime. Is he around?"

"He's not in now... Is there something I can tell him?" she said.

"No, just tell him that I need to talk to him sometime."

"I've already told him what you told me this morning and he said the same thing I did..."

"Well, thats okay, but I still want to talk to him. Could you tell him to call me when he's in the office tomorrow?" replied I.

"Sure. What am I here for anyways... I mean, I'm only the manager... But yeah, I'll let him know your wanting to talk to him. He doesn't even understand why your wanting to move out though..." she said.

"Well, to start off with, the cops have been called 2 times (both on the same day), and marijuanna smoke was filling up my closet space from the adjacent neighbors. Also, there is a lot more things to it too, so if you wouldn't mind, I would just like to talk to him. Okay?" I said starting to get angry that she's putting me through this hassel JUST to talk to my landlord.

"Sure, I'll tell him but just so you know, those neighbors have been evicted and he still doesn't understand how that smoke could be getting into your closet..." she said.

***click***

After all of that, I left it be. All I want to do is get the hell outta here. This other apartment is sooo much better than this one I'm in. It has it's own bathtub, thermostat (THAT ISN'T SHARED!), and also has a bigger kitchen, living room, and walk-in closet! If it wasn't for that dern lease, I would be moving in there in about 2 weeks. Makes me sooo mad. If I break the lease, I'll most likely get sued for whatever is left for rent in that leasing period as well as forfeiting my damage deposite. Hell, that damage deposite is probably lost anyways just because he's going to take it. Life can be so unfair sometimes. This is getting me down!

Sorry for blabbin but what all do you guys think? Do you think I should just drop it and miss this great chance to get a great apartment, or do you think I should just wait and see what comes down the pike when my lease runs out? I feel like this apartment is one in a thousand around here which is why I'm so anal about getting this...
