I didn't even know how depressed i was until I stopped drinking
The first and a year half of my recovery, I was miserable. I kept going to meetings, they kept telling me keep coming back it gets better.
{LETTING GO AND LETTING GOD}
Comes to my mind. I've done a lot of praying for the clouds to lift. Most of my pain was self inflicted thru things I'd done myself.
I focus on my life being half full and not half empty.
12 Positive Starts and 12 Positive Stops for the New Year
I like the idea of a new year and the opportunity to reflect on where I've been, where I am, and where I am headed. Here's a list, in no particular order, of some positive things we can be doing to start off the new year. I’ve also included some of the habits we need to drop.
12 Positive Starts:
Start living with purpose.
Start being passionate.
Start taking risks.
Start listening with an open mind.
Start making your health a priority.
Start laughing and playing.
Start being good to yourself.
Start doing work that you love.
Start living your own life.
Start learning new things.
Start managing your money
Start spending time with people who matter to you.
12 Positive Stops:
Stop worrying.
Stop making excuses.
Stop doing work you hate.
Stop wasting your time.
Stop arguing.
Stop trying to be right.
Stop complaining.
Stop making the same mistakes.
Stop doubting yourself.
Stop worrying about the opinions of others.
Stop feeling sorry for yourself.
Stop spending more money than you make.

We are for the most part just lay people on here. Anything we can say is just our own opinions for what they're worth.
I can turn on CNN and see people living in a world I can't even fathom and I give thanks really quick
It hurts me to see you hurt. There are people on here praying for you right now
