Spencer...
We have a daily reprieve based on our spiritual condition....
I, too, was in and out of the program for a good year or so before it hit me that this is a lifestyle, and that I really need to work the steps with a sponsor.

I tell everyone that -- I'm like a broken record -- "get to meetings, get a sponsor, work the steps." WORK the steps. For me, I did OK.... Step 1..... Step 2.....Step 3.........................................st...... .....e.....p...........what do I have to do? Inventory? DRINK.................................start over...................Step 1....................DRINK......................et c........

I guess it took what it took, but I had to be willing to GO TO ANY LENGTHS to stay sober. When I got my a$$ in gear and got to work on the steps, things started to change.

Page 14 says "...simple but not easy, a price had to be paid." I believe that is true -- the program is simple, but we have to do the work it takes to stay sober.

Dust yourself off, find some meetings in your area, don't regret the past, and move forward.
