I was required to have a MRI to test for unusual blood flow patterns, tumour etc.
It was finally established that it was related to the hormone that starts my period. I was to take a med to lower my blood pressure for 3 days before my period and then if I got a migraine to take one Relpax.
I also have TMJ, that contributes to troublesome headaches.
I do think it is reasonable to look for cause rather than daily mask symptoms, esp ongoing and over a period of time.
I almost died from a kidney infection because my symptom was bad headache, and they were so used to treating me for migraines they knocked out the pain and the kidney detioration progressed.
