I don't know why this bothers me, but the definition of fear is not "false sexpectations appearing real." According to the American Heritage Dictionary, the definition of fear is a feeling of agitation and anxiety caused by the presence or imminence of danger.
Someone made that other one up because it happens to fit nicely. Just because the words start with the letters that spell "fear" doesn't mean it is true. |
