Alera is right. Plain Fiorinal/Fioricet contains butalbital which is a barbiturate rather than an opioid/narcotic. Actually I prefer not to use the term "narcotic" because it means so many different things to different people. Now tramadol, while not chemically an opioid, functions just like one in the body (as you know) so it may as well be considered one.
