Fascinating and sadly accurate! We non-alcoholics will never understand their motives, urges and thought processes, so I am resigned to give-up trying! I did work -out for myself that it isn't really about me... I just happen to 'be there!' Therefore, if we are the 'rational' ones, then we must dig deep, and decide whether or not we can continue...after all, unlike the alcoholic, we still have the 'choice!'
