here's some pictures from work i took. as the buildings go up we get to go up on top with the iron workers because we have to install these things called sleeves in the decking before they pour the concrete. the sleeves leave penetrations behind that our pipes go through so we don't have to core holes later or chop the concrete.

you can see just the steel beams in the backround, in the foreground are the steel beams with the decking laid on it. we cut it with torches then install the sleeves.
