Friendly pharmacist here. Seroquel is an antipsychotic but it's frequently used for other things as well, as you have seen. Did the doc not say why he was giving it to you? Is it supposed to replace the Xanax eventually? It is sedating but is not particularly good for anxiety so I'm not really sure why he chose it unless you are having trouble sleeping, too. Is the doc an actual psychiatrist or just a family doctor? Did you have any other questions in particular? I think I've asked more questions than I answered here. LOL.
