I am new here as of today but was so happy to find this forum.
I won't bore you with boring details, but I would like to state the following:
I am the lead facilitator of the Celebrate Recovery program at our church and am quite pleased to see it referenced here so much.
The Life Recovery Bible is actually part of the official curriculum at Celebrate Recovery. As most of you who have it have already stated, it is an excellent resource. I keep mine with me 98% of the time. FYI, the Life Recovery Bible is NLT not NIV. Just to clarify if anyone is having trouble locating it at their local bookstore.
Also, rather than write Rick Warren at Saddleback, you should direct your inquiries directly to John Baker (the founder of CR) at

For those of you who are curious, Saddleback Church is absolutely beautiful, and Rick Warren is a super nice, very comical, God loving person.
