yes,I have attended 25-30 or so
They are ok,and I have had some great experiences there.I wouldn`t count on them to bring about a deep,peaceful,lasting sobriety after my experience with them.
some inter groups will not support the back to the basics because they don`t see them as AA
A friend and myself used to hold them.We probably did 25-30 here in NC.We also called them 12 step workshops.
The back to the basics was patterned after early AA beginners meetings.
There seems to be a misconception today that they are the program but in reality,they are just a replica of old time beginners meetings held by some AA`S,not all of early AA.
