Drinking more is definitely not the answer. Like jazzfish says, get a second opinion - and a 3rd, 4th, 5th one if necessary. If you can't eat when you're not drunk, you clearly do have health issues that need diagnosis and treatment. You don't have to keep on living your life in pain. Seek advice and treatment until you get it.
