Seeing your doctor is definitely a step in the right direction. And you can definitely continue on this path if you want, support can be very helpful too. Do you have a support plan in place yet? The initial withdrawal itself and the shock value of finally realizing you have a problem is a great motivator for a while, but eventually you can fall back to your old ways pretty easily if you aren't vigilant. Do you plan on using any local support at all?
