This is so weird! I was just wondering if this site had a way to look people up by location when I read your post and happened to notice that you are in Greensboro. I'm right up the road in Winston-Salem! And your post sounds like me last winter, too.
Are you going to meetings? NA, maybe? That helps me. And one of the other big things that helps me is getting enough of the right kind of light! I know it might sound a little flaky, but my psychiatrist agrees with me. In fact, he commented last week on how well I'm doing...and he's known me for over twenty years.
Now, I tan, but I don't really recommend it wholeheartedly because it can cause problems, but you can get special lights for depression.
Check this site out! It has made all the difference in the world for me. Plus, to be honest, I take LOTS of medication. The right meds can be hard to find, but definitely worth it.
Hang in there! And talk to your doctor as well as the counselors. And do you have a sponsor? That can help too. I wish you well.
