Okay guys..I know you get it too. The Holidays roll around, expectations are high, family communication is low and the drama gets started.... certain family members do everything imaginable to get your BP spiked, the critical mother tells YOU how things SHOULD be done and lets you know exactly where you are wrong...on and on it goes. The crowds at the stores, the budget that is broke before you even get to shop, every unexpected financial obligation arises, something breaks, the heater doesn't work, on and on it goes. Let's make a list of things to beat the Holday Blues....We do have the power to be happy, to be positive no matter what..but holidays seem to bring alot of stress and family drama. What do you do to tame it down a bit? How do you relax, unwind? What expectations do you lower? Any tips to make the holidays saner? Would love to hear them.

I will start with what I have learned today. People will be as they are...I cannot change them, fix them or even shut them up...but I CAN control how I react to it. I CAN be responsible for ME and let certain things go. My mother has started with her inventoried housecleaning of me...and I REFUSE to let her dampen my spirit, I will NOT let her inside my head. I love her, I accept she is as she is and I will not try and change her..It doesn't work anyways!
