I forgot to refill my effexor prescription and did not realize that the debilitating and scary physical effects I experienced were due to the withdrawal. I, too, had electric-type shocks in my head and vertigo so bad I couldn't walk. I asked to be switched to a different med and never want to deal with effexor again.
