I lost my mom when I was 11, she was 42, to breast cancer. She was told that the tumors were benign for years by a quack (pardon the pun) doctor. When I was 5, a new doctor told her they were malignant, had been all along probably, and that the cancer had spread throughout her body in that time. I've been having mammograms since I was 23.
