am pretty new to this myself too, but what helps me is I have started doing things I enjoy again, like exercising and reading.
I have also recommited myself to my work, which has been terribly neglected this year because of devoting too much time to one person.
It was hard too focus at first but I dug in and kept going through the motions until my interest started to rekindle.
I still think about this person a lot.....God knows, but at least now I have other things to give me some respite.
If the thoughts become too powerful or too painful or when the temptation to call becomes unbearable I call a friend in the programme instead.
Hang in there ok.We are hanging with ya.
