but maybe you could also point out that they are headed for severe liver toxicity. Lortab contains acetaminophen besides the hydrocodone. Regular strength is 5/500. The level of danger for liver toxicity from tylenol is 4000 mg a day - so only 8 a day!!!!! Taking that much consistently over time and buh-bye liver.
