Mistee,
I work with developmentally disabled. I'm not sure what type of disability your son has, but there are organizations that will help you fight for your rights. Do you and your son both have an atorney? I truely hope that you and your son will be able to remain together.
If the news depresses you, don't watch it. I don't when I'm overwhelmed. We have enough problems of our own sometimes and it doesn't help to watch such depressing news. You are doing all you can for yourself. You can be proud of all you are doing to help yourself. You seem to be doing all you can for your son too.
You're not alone. We're here for you. Please keep posting. I too am often overwhelmed by emotion. I know it's hard to get through it. I try to accept it until it passes. It seems the more I fight it the worse it gets. We need to learn to manage it the best we can. Keep increasing your coping skills by going to therapy and meetings. Take your medication and turn it over to your higher power.
Hugs and prayers,
MG
