What are you getting out of this relationship? You don't want to be around him when he drinks, yet he drinks every weekend. You're embarrassed to take him around your friends. You're afraid you're going to wake up to find him dead because he drinks so much. You sleep on the couch. The guy doesn't want to quit drinking. It doesn't sound like much of a relationship to me.
