Once a certain dosage level is reached, the blocking effect comes in force. The methadone will prevent feelings of euphoria from any opiate. With a bit of time, this will prevent any pleasure from opiates, although they can still provide analgesia.
A proper dose will prevent cravings for opiates, but not other drugs of abuse.
