From what I know about AA, I can't picture myself participating in that format, and right now due to squandering every paycheck at the bar I don't have a lot of money to attend professional counseling.
I recognize there's a problem and know if I walk into a bar during the work week there's a better than average chance I won't make it to work the next day no matter what my preconceived plan is. |
As you seem to understand that you need help, and don't seem to have many options, why don't you try to have an open mind and give AA a
try. Nobody is going to force you. Maybe it helps, maybe it doesn't. What's the worst thing that can happen? Why discount something that you've never tried? Take care.
