It's impossible me for to comment on your work situation as it's a little bit different for each of us.
One guy who used to work where I do was let go on 'Strike 2' and his misbehaviour was caused by drunkenness.
But I meant more like:
Strike 3 on your moderation plan, "out" (from trying to continue it and now moving to straight 100% abstinence)?
