This is so true for me. It took nearly 8 years of sobriety but I have started to paint again after not doing it for over 20 years. It was one of the first things to go for me when I started down the road of alcoholism. Sobriety has given me a life I could not have dreamed. Even with the ups and downs that life has to offer I would not trade one day of my sobriety for one day of drinking. I look forward to all life has to offer now that I am sober.
