| ED treatment?
I have a problem with compulsive eating which has gotten much better over the years but I still struggle with it. Over the past three years, I've read books about intuitive eating (Geneen Roth, Karen Koenig, Susan Hirschmann), which makes so much sense to me.
I am at the point now where if I listen to what my body wants, it's usually something healthy (what I would have considered before as diet food). I'm also finding that I feel best when I eat three meals a day. Less obssessive, etc.
I just finished reading Jenni Schaeffer's book "Life Without Ed" and somewhere in the book she talks about having three meals a day as part of her recovery plan.
I've never been officially treated for an eating disorder and wanted to ask if anyone out here eats three meals a day and has experienced significant recovery from their eating disorder or just what they've found and if this is a good track to take?
I don't think diets work. I'm also 2.5 yrs sober from alcohol.
thanks.
