I even recorded my own words on computer, mixed it with meditative music, and turned it low in my ipod and let it brainwash me to sleep Because at the time i was tormented with negative thoughts with no hope filled with fear.
What you are describing is my take on Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT).
