Pain is inevitable; suffering is optional?

tkdan, if you're anything like me, you cringe at the idea of dealing with those resentments? It's going to be uncomfortable, it's going to be time-consuming, I might be misunderstood, or God forbid, not validated. My ego tells me all sorts of things, and I end up putting it off at the expense of a whole lot of serenity. I've been observing lately -- about two days with a resentment gestating and I feel like Sigourney Weaver in Alien.

You (we) know what to do. It's up to you (us) how long you (we) want to suffer.
