Has he always been that way, Sidney? About your drinking, or about other things? If so, you may be asking him for something he can't give. There are a lot of us who have family members who have no desire to be involved in our recovery process.

And that's another reason it's a very good idea to get yourself to a meeting and find folks who do understand where you are.
