Two amazing books.
not 'chick' books by any stretch.
Anyone read these? They both blew me away.
The Red Tent is about Rebecca's sister, Dinah - the one who got raped in the Bible but it's from her perspective ... fascinating read.
Not religious a teensy bit - historical and amazingly well written.
I almost didn't read it - but Oh my GOD I'm glad I did!
The other one -
The lovely bones ... about a girl who is murdered, and how her Spirit watches her family continue after her death.
Powerful.
Neither is wishy washy,
and do NOT pick up The Lovely Bones without time to finish it.
You LITERALLY can't put it down.
I haven't had that experience with a book since the night I brought home
"Jurassic Park".
