Proud of you, Mandjas! It can take a lot of courage to go to an Al-Anon meeting, but they can be so very, very helpful. You may be surprised at the strength, experience, and hope you are able to glean from these meetings (and from reading their materials)....I know that for me, I gradually grew the skills to deal with my drunk sisters and brothers, even though I knew little at first about how i would ever manage to detach.
