I was in denial, didn't even think I was an addict. Having a horrible ritalin comedown, heart beating wildly, to the point where it frightened me. I began considering I may have a problem, but still didn't think I was an addict, I still was pretty sure I could get a grip and somehow manage my use. I posted an angry, frustrated post. I didn't expect anyone to tell me I was an addict. Then I took some more ritalin, to level me off and went into chat. I met Pinpoint and we talked for a good while, and he convinced me to let myself come down and not to keep using more. If it wasn't for me talking to him for that while, I would have continued to take more. He talked me down and it made a huge difference to me. Then I went to sleep, woke up hours and hours later. Remembered this place, came back, read all the replies and that post changed my life. It still changes my life every time I go over it again and read it. I am so thankful for this place and all the support, and understanding.
