I'm sorry eog, I can't imagine how that must feel, but I do understand your frustration.
I'm not a relationship expert. I'm getting married for the third time, but at least this time I'm doing it clean and sober, with programs of recovery and faith in a Higher Power. I feel good about that.
Some of what I've learned in the past 5 years.....I try my hardest to stay focused on keeping the relationship together and healthy. That might mean counseling, couples therapy, whatever it takes. But then I also know that sometimes I might need to briefly detach from my partner so we can both work out our differences.
Weekly CoDA meetings in addition to my AA program helps alot, and so does church and staying active within my community.
