My math adds up to 120mg OC and 20 mg oxy IR = 140mg total oxy. I've never researched the Thomas method, so I don't know what it promises. But, personally, I don't see being able to work a job while detoxing off that much oxy. Maybe I'm just a whimp. As you said, TE, everyone is different. Still 5 (sometimes 7) days is average, but 3 days can do it for some or at least be sufficient for the worst of the withdrawal symptoms. It depends on several factors... amount of opiate used, length of addiction, and your own make-up.
If all is going according to plan, you're pretty sick right about now. If you get a chance to post and let us know how you are making out, that would be great. I commend you for your decision to get clean. One of the greatest forces that started me getting off oxys was a change in supply. I'll warn you that it's not the most helpful reason to give you the determination to stick to your resolve, but IMO anything that gets you started is good.
I agree with the other posters. It's very important to come clean with your doctor ASAP. It's too easy to talk yourself out of doing it. I did. So, I know how detrimental waiting can be. I suggest calling your doctor first thing Monday morning. It was the weekend when I got serious this last time and I decided to let my doctor know. So, I wrote her and I mailed my letter, explaining that I was doing it that way because I was afraid that if I waited, I would change my mind. Those bridges can be extremely hard to burn. But, if they are left standing after detox, most addicts WILL cross them again (this addict did).
That's enough for you to read, I'm sure. Know that I'm keeping you in my prayers.
