It really does help, with a lot of things. I'm a massage therapist and I've learned that massage is great for reconnecting your mind and your body. It's not just relaxation. It also helps your body to flush out toxins. Which can be really beneficial when you're trying to get sober.
But be careful with getting deep tissue work done if you've used recently. There are so many toxins getting flushed through your system as is. And getting deep tissue work releases even more and it will overload your system. I've actually had clients who I did know were hungover get up and puke after because of this. I've also gotten nauseous and sick if I get a deep massage while I'm using.
