Just bought Anime Studio Debut and have been going through the tutorials.
I haven't made any animated pieces yet, but I'm getting my bearings and figuring out what I can do with my other drawing programs in conjuction with ASD.
I have Corel Painter Essentials 4 and wanted to use that program for my backgrounds and characters/objects. The only problem is that CPE can't make the canvas layer transparent
and doesn't save files in .png format.
Luckily I remembered I downloaded gimp a couple of months ago. Long story short, I can draw in CPE, open the file in gimp, make the background transparent and save the file in .png.....and then open the file in ASD.
Big smiles...I was worried I wouldn't be able to use the drawing software I already have. Now I can.
It will be a while before I actually make something. This is new territory for me, but it's a fun hobby.
