Not to burst your bubble or poo-poo your reasoning, but some do refer to the universe as 'god'.
The problem (or benefit) with such spiritual nouns is that they all tend to imply the same thing....ultimate reality, universe, Source, nature, cosmos, etc.
However, I think you are specifically referring to the Judeo-Xtian concept of a personal god...one that loves, hates, is masculine, etc.
