As I look into the sky and look into the creation, I realized that Great God in the Sky could no exist. I realized that I just cannot believe in a transcedent God unless it Christian God. I have lost faith in that concept.
Therefore, I made something more infinite than myself as the higher power of my life. It is the universe. The infinite and things they we cannot see. The universe makes our problem less larger than seem, makes the biggest fears seems to be smaller, it crushes our alcoholic ego down to realistic size. It makes us humble, it makes feel that we are one with the cosmos.
I live like God does not exist. When I die, my remains will become part of the cosmos. Therefore, my higher power is the universe itself.
The universe is the ultimate secular higher power. It does not require the existance of God. Therefore, it is possible to do the 12 steps with existance of God and have a higher power greater than yourself.
