My higher power, as they say, "Never misses a meeting." Sometimes though, he's got the volume turned up to 11 when he speaks through the words and actions of the other people there.
I heard a guy do a talk last night and he was on the same page. He said he came into A.A viewing it as a kind of punishment but also feeling like he had really hit the end of everything. Five years later he knows it was the best thing that had happened in long time, an opportunity not a punishment.
