4 days is good... but this wasn't my first relapse so I'm a bit familiar with my cycle. The first week or so isn't too bad, but the second week the cravings hit hard. I've already planned on camping out on SR when I'm not with supportive friends or in a meeting. I'm also removing my stressors where possible... Been cleaning the house tonight because I know clutter is a stressor for me.

Which brings up a point interesting and pertinent to the particular forum.

Riding is a serious stress reducer for me. I usually feel very carefree and happy with the wind in my face. AND I cannot remember a single time I've had an alcohol craving while on the bike. I guess I'm on the right track with reducing my stressors as an aid to continued sobriety.

Ok, I can't refrain from telling this story since I brought up wind in my face. I prefer to ride without a windshield. But I did buy a windshield for a former bike of mine on a road trip up to Michigan. And here's why...

As I was riding along a highway I felt a light mist in my face. "Hm, someone must be washing their windshield" thought I.

Then I smelled an acrid odor in the air. "Hm, the local water treatment plant is rather malodorous" thought I.

Then I saw the cattle truck just ahead....

I followed the very next HD Dealership billboard I saw to the dealer to buy a windshield

hehe
