Hi, I am a teacher and have had difficulty keeping my job. I have suffered from depression for 15 years as well as panic attacks. Anybody out there changed careers and found their new career it a better fit for someone with a mental illness as well as experiencing more job satisfaction
I have done lots of vocational testing a read many books on the subject of careers. However, over the past few years I always get the same results for the career that suits my personality, interests, strengths (social work, teaching, priest, employment counsellor, coach, etc.) Many friends haves suggested library science since I love to read. I am concerned about career change since I am 48, married with two young kids.
