Why would an alcoholic/addict be interested in a narcotic/analgesic with anti-depressant properties? Well, that's obvious. There are plenty of anti-depressants that are very effective that are non-narcotic. In fact rarely is a narcotic used for depression, especially since they have depressant qualities. Any Psychiatrist or Doctor that would prescribe them for an addict would be irresponsible when there are proven much better non-narcotic ones much more widely used.
