Thanks for the share utopia, I understand where you are coming from. I am also struggling with some of my beliefs or lack thereof. I have been a Christian at heart for a long time but didnt go to church for quite a while.
When I recently went to a United Church I liked the people & connected at some level but never felt fully connected. I find the bible hard to read & follow to be honest.
I am currently learning more about Buddhism & its teachings and like the simple yet effective approach. I "get it" and understand the concepts & teachings clearly. The philosophy & teachings are beautiful.
My problem now is if there is a God & Jesus as I have always believed would they be upset with me for practicing Buddhism & loving God at the same time... I am waitng for the looks the next time religion comes up & I say "I am a Christian Buddhist" ;-)
End of the day I believe that as long as you are a good person & try your best your pathway to a better place is paved with gold.
