I went to an Agnostic AA meeting tonight. I am not in AA but go to meetings every once in a while, as in I have been about 6 times. It is funny because although I definitely identify with the name of the group "agnostic and freethinkers" I actually much prefer all the other AA meetings I have been to, the ones that invoke God if you will. The agnostic meeting took a very rational approach to sharing; I basically felt like I was in a classroom. At other AA meetings it is a much more cathartic and emotional experience even when I don't identify completely with the wording of people's shares, I feel a different energy. Okay, well that was just my little anecdote.
But one guy who shared had recently been on a radio show about recovery and plugged it in his share. I just looked it up on the web and it looks good. Haven't downloaded it or listened yet but it seems like it presents many different perspectives about recovery. Just thought some people might want to bookmark it:
