I recently befriended some Mennonites, and I can tell you that I really admire them and their way of life. I was raised on a farm(still live there), but I can say that most of us have let "worldly" things influence us in a negative way. Personally, I can say that I never have been able to "live up" to Biblical teachings like these Mennonites can. I'm sure they have their issues, but they do not allow "ungodly" things in their lives, such as TV and different forms of music and media. When I look at the way I have lived, and the places I've been, and situations I've found myself in, I realized that I've been doing something wrong!!!
