Hi Im Sharon and Im an Alcoholic.
By the Grace of My HP and the
fellowship of wonderful supportive
friends here in SR, I havent found
it necessary to pick up a drink of
alcohol since 8-11-90.
For that and you I am truely grateful.
I week ago yesterday I had a full
left hip replacement that was sucess-
full.
Painfull days afterwards however not
extremely unbareable. Some uncomfort-
ableness as each day brings better
movement.
For 18 yrs. with numerous changes
happening in my life I have placed
my will and life over to my HP for
guidance, protection and strength.
Thus so far He has not steered me
wrong.
Following the steps of our awesome
program living each one in my daily
affairs to the best of my ability I have
remained sober a many one days
at a time.
Following the suggestions of my
doctors from beginning of surgery
to days that follow I am slowly
recoverying quickly.
Quicker than expected.
Each task that we'd take for granted
like the ease of walking, bathing,
peeing, eating, sleeping in ur own
bed, getting dressed without help,
until taken away due to illness,
operations....eventually return with
ease slowly but surely.
I was told to listen to my hips with
what to do. They would let me know
if its ok to walk or turn or sit properly.
I took that suggestion from the chair
I had been sleeping in for a week
now to my bed last night. Sure fear
was there but i followed thru and thus
the pay off was good.
Careful not to twist my hip or cross
my leg, my instructions, pillows, and
husband next to me, i have my bed
back.
Fewer pain pills as needed, cane used
instead of walker. All those white plastic
bulky help aids are slowly being illiminated.
YES...!
Anyway.....recovery 1st following suggestions
will result in me riding behind my husband
on our Harley Sportster and Road King
comfortably for yrs to come.
......Do the Helen Keller and talk with ur hips......
