There is a thread going called "How important are meetings?"
This quote should answer that question. I often say that AA is not a place I go but a way that I live. The experience of God for me plays out in the daily living of my life. To make a demonstration of our principles is to Practice the Presence of God. To make a demonstration is to truly carry a message, because the way I live shouts much louder than what I say.
To tie this quote into the paragraph it is taken from, the paragraph talks about doing the work. Practicing the principles is as much doing the work as is working with others. Maybe some of the best Twelfth-Step work I do is when I think I'm not being noticed.Practicing the principles is doing God's work.
